[bali-bali] RE: [bali] petition to stop illegal construction of bali canggu

I used to write on Jakarta Post entitled "Bali's tourism industries destroy itself, which has drawn pros and contras, even I was called "mekecuh menek" (a Balinese saying, literally in Englih " to spit upward" roughly means to expose our own badside")several years ago. In that time I have observed clearly how regulations, laws, plans, regarding tourism development are hardly enforced even ignored. The authorities and DPRD are very fond of making regulations but later are never implemented or enforced.beach as a public domain has been encroached for construction of hotel and beach setback line is extremely ignored. The authories are supposed to warn and stop them in fact doing nothing until it is too late. That is what is going on now. If this situation continues, it is only a matter of time Bali's tourism will be history.
